About this course
This is for the leader who wants to building something that has staying power. A movement that keeps building momentum. A community that keeps expanding. A team that continues to deepen it commitment, and it's capabilities. No more fizzles. No more fads. No more hard work that leads to a quick ending. It's time to build something that goes the distance, creates legacy, and goes beyond any 1 person. We've found that the key to creating something lasting is relational. Its the strength of the connections. Its how good people feel around the leader when in the arena together. Its about how they feel about the character of others involved. It's about the level of respect they have for the person leading the charge. It's especially about how safe they feel when things get hard and breakdown happens. Relating is the foundation of leadership. And being able to relate in a way that sustains the bonds, the motivation, and the alignment with everyone involved is how to tend to something that lasts. The Lasting Leader Journey is 6 months of intensive building from the inside out. We first go deep on your current level of personal leadership with your own values, then go one step farther. We do the same with the relationships you care about most. Then we double down on clarifying your vision and turning it into a sustainable, real movement of many people doing life together, whether that's a team, an organization, or a community. By the end of the journey you will feel ready and equipped to: - Be the person you want to be for yourself, even when old habits come up. - Deepen the relationships you care about most, even when conflict comes up. - Sustain a growing and grateful community of people doing life together (team, org, or community) You will also have begun the practice of: - Doing life in a way where you actually are who you want to be on a daily basis - Communicating in a way that consistently deepens bonds in your personal relationships - Stewarding your team, org, or community in a way that creates lasting motivation, progress, and fulfillment for all involved Whether you is in the earlier stage of your leadership, or is a seasoned steward, we are going to invite you and nudge you beyond where you are now, so you can finally create something that lasts. So be ready to be more of who you truly are than you've ever been. If you're feeling the call, applications are open. 100% human-written

Thomas Waterman
As a young twenty-something figuring things out, I had a revelation. That I'd rather learn how to get along and get things done with other people than be the only human on the planet. This has inspired me to go through thousands of uncomfortable conversations with the people I care about most to find a way forward, even when the conflict arises. Because it always comes. Every experience I've had so far with another person that mattered, tension came. Through these encounters, I've built a simple set of practices that make doing life together fulfilling and productive for the long term.

Supportive Questions & Answers
Who is The Lasting Leader for?
It's for leaders who want to build a team, organization or community where nothing gets in the way of them doing amazing things together, and where that lasts instead of fizzling out.
Do I need to already be leading a team, organization or community to join?
No, whether you're early in your leadership or a seasoned steward, the journey meets you where you are and nudges you beyond it.
What happens in a typical meeting?
We meet online together for 2 hours with other program members to work through challenges and provide support along the Lasting Leader journey.
How much time does it take outside the meetings?
There is required prep work before each session that won't take more than 1 hour.
What if I miss a meeting?
You can continue to move forward and simply catch up as soon as you can with the prep work.
Can I join after it has already started?
This is an ongoing journey that can be started at any time. We hold sessions on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month throughout the year, and you can join whenever you feel the call.
Should I come alone, with a partner, or bring my team?
Any of the 3 options are wonderful. It's a personal journey each person walks for themselves, and we recommend bringing the people you want to be fluent in this practice, side by side with you.
What will I walk away with by the end?
You'll be ready to be who you want to be even when old habits show up, to deepen your most important relationships even through conflict, and to sustain a growing, grateful community, using practices like candidness, empathy, clarity and ownership every day.
What is your refund policy?
Once you join, the price is not refundable, but if we cancel the program you get back the share for meetings not yet held.
How is this different from a leadership course or coaching?
It treats leadership as relational. Everything in this journey is about how to inspire people to want to continue to do life with you, in your personal connections and the community you are cultivating.
